There's a hick in all of us...
Due to strict budget cuts, we made a conscious economical decision to stay in town this President's Day weekend. Thank goodness we did, Shayne had the great idea to go to Monster Jam . When two families have 6 boys between us, there is not a better option than to put on your chaps and cowboy hat and watch the real cowboys. Shayne, as always, hooked us up with some great discounted seats (high up in upper bowl of course) and being the mean mommy that I am my kids used their Valentine money to buy their tickets. What a show! Highly recommend it.

Bulldozer- crowd favorite
I'm beginning to regret my decision to not purchase the beautiful trucker hat with the horns coming out from it. It really does complete the look!
Maximum Destruction made a clean sweep and had some great runs. The driver was from Willard , Utah. It obviously was his night to shine.

Here's a little video to get you excited.

Futsol Tournament
Thanks to Chris and Greg's awesome coaching. The X-league won their futsol tournament. Their team was so good that the owner's of the Flash Zone asked them to play up a year. I'll have to get the play by play later on when Chris can help.
We are so grateful for all the hard work and effort that Greg, Brian, and Chris put into coaching these boys. Greg has recently taken Utah Rangers under his wing, and I am so excited to see where his direction will take the Rangers.

Meet the Jazz
I love that Chris and Shayne have season tickets (even though they literally are the worst seats in the entire arena) because we get such great perks like a BBQ with the Jazz players. I think my favorite part (besides Kyle Korver of course) was that I didn't have to cook that night.
Carson couldn't resist a picture of this "hot" car. It must be a phase because he recently bought two cheesy posters of cars that I've never heard of before and I know he knows nothing about them.
Did I mention Kyle Korver? Wow I love those socks!!!! I stood in line for this lame picture for over a half hour. Do you think I made an impression? Yes, we did have a moment and I think he will remember it for the rest of his life, or at least until the next person in line forces him to take another lame pic.
I think the main reason I go to the games is because I love the Bear. You know you are a trus Jazz fan when you show up for two things Kyle's socks and to watch the Bear. He really cracks me up.

Connor's 1st Recital
January 2009
Thanks to Aunt Lea's great teaching ability, Connor is really loving to play the piano. She had the fantastic idea of Hunter and Connor playing a duet of Ode to Joy, it was sooo cute. I have to admit that my favorite part was having to play Hunter's part when Connor was practicing. I've really enjoyed relearning to play the piano with my son.
If you know my son Connor at all, you know how motivated he is by competition. He can't stand that his younger cousin Hunter can outplay him, and he is constantly trying to move on to the next level of books because Hunter's already past them.
